Kato Mukasa is an Ugandan lawyer who plays a national and international role in the secular humanism movement. He co-founded the Humanist Association for Leadership, Equity and Accountability (HALEA) in 2007 to promote critical thinking and human rights. She has been advocating for the rights of the Chin and indigenous people since she was a young student. The Chin people are an ethnic, majority Christian minority in Myanmar who has been the subject of several human rights violations in the country.

Nay San Lwin is a Rohingya activist in exile, involved with the Free Rohingya Coalition and their campaigns. Working to raise awareness for human rights violations suffered by the Rohingya and advocate for their rights, he is also the author of the Rohingya Today blog (https://www.rohingyatoday.com/). In 2017, more than 1 million Rohingya refugees were living in the Southeast-Asia region. Starting Feminita in 2014, after Zhanar was arrested by the police at a protest, both Zhanar and Gulzada are adamant about staying in Kazahkstan and changing the country.
