DRAW ME SAFE

This project compiles stories of Human Rights Defenders who are forced to live in anonymity and cannot use their real names, faces, or identities. Through illustration, the booklet offers a way to learn more about who they are and the realities of their work.

Both stories are from former guests of the Shelter City Programme Amsterdam, which provides a safe space for Human Rights Defenders at risk. The programme supports them in developing new skills, strengthening their work through courses, and sharing their experiences with an international audience, broadening their networks and increasing recognition for their work.
