About the event
On the 8th of March, Stichting URGENT will be hosting a network lunch. The first half will include a free lunch and the possibility of expanding your connections. The second part will include the short film ‘Rebellious Silence’ by Nuria Zantman, about a women’s rights activist from Iran. The short film will be followed by a thought-provoking panel led by the filmmaker.
Nuria Zantman is a director and creative producer. She makes autonomous documentaries uncovering narratives beyond surface impressions. ArtEZ Acting School and Cultural Studies UvA graduate. She began directing her own films in 2020, inspired by the question, ‘What does it mean to be human?’ She intricately explores the intersection between the personal and the political. Her debut documentary, 'Rebellious Silence,' premiered at the Dutch Film Festival in 2021. Additionally, she has directed other short films such as 'Remember Me' (2022) and served as a creative producer for projects including 'MAMA' (Marieke de Bra, 2021), 'De Laatste Dans' (Marieke de Bra, 2022), and 'Infinite Lines' (Louka Hoogendijk, 2022).
