Shelter City Guest Activist Lunch

Our Shelter City guest, an LGBTQI+ activist, will present and discuss their work during this networking lunch. This session will be interactive and an excellent opportunity for people in the field to share their ideas, stories, and work-related events with the Shelter City guests to engage with. The aim of this event is to learn from each other’s experiences within the field of human rights and to stimulate further collaborations for future events.

Shelter City is a Justice and Peace Netherlands initiative hosted by Stichting URGENT in partnership with the Amsterdam City Council. It is a global movement of cities, organisations and people who stand side by side with human rights defenders at risk. During their stay, they are offered tailor-made support, skill development training, networking and advocacy opportunities, and a space to engage with relevant allies to reinforce their local actions for change whilst focusing on their health and personal development.
